>>The immediate result of sin was

GEN 3:7-8 - 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

>>Adam should have fallen before the Lord--crying out, I have sinned--I have sinned!!!

>>Adam should have--confessed God's justice--and pleaded for mercy

>>But Adam fled from God

GEN 3:8 - 8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

>> Instead of hearing Adam cry out like Job

JOB 23:3-9 - 3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!

23:4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.

8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:

9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:

>>The LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

>>There has never been to this day a single instance where a sinner first sought his God.

Point one The first cry is the voice of grace-- "Sinner--where art thou?"

Point two God's love in calling, "Adam--where art thou"-- calling His dear children to return.

Point three As a professed believer does God still call unto thee-- "Adam-- where art thou?"

Point one The first cry is the voice of grace-- "Sinner--where art thou?"

JOH 6:37-39 - 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

>> Man can commit iniquity but it takes grace to know it is iniquity--or to feel the guilt of it

EPH 2:1 - And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

EPH 2:5 - Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

ROM 7:7 - What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

>>Sin poisons the conscience--painlessly as drugs--they sleep into death as a man freezing to death

>> Until God arouses the conscience---Saying, Adam where art thou!!

EPH 5:14 - Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

>>It is not until God calls, "Sinner--Where art thou"-- that we feel pain from sin

>>The prodigal son--felt no pain until he came to himself

LUK 15:14-17 - 14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

>>as with the prodigal son the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.

ROM 2:4 - Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

>>Adam was not placed in a position of grievous servitude--his position can be compared with

GEN 41:40-43 - 40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

>>God's only restraint upon Adam was

GEN 2:17 - But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

>>Adam where art thou-- in the room of a thief---a rebel-- a traitor

>> To so many the Lord might say---"Sinner-- where art thou" --

I gave you a godly mother who cared for you, and prayed for you--

-I gave you a God fearing father who has so earnestly prayed for your conversion.

>>Is the Lord saying to someone here "sinner where art thou"--I have so often spared thee

REV 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

EZE 33:11 - Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

>>You may answer- I am in such a place where I can not come to answer the threatenings of the law.

JER 3:13-14 - 13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.

14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

>> You may answer-- But I cannot repent--I am so bound under the power of sin.

>>Look unto Jesus

ACT 5:31 - Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

>>there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repenteth

LUK 15:2-7 - 2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Point three As a professed believer does God still call unto thee-- "Adam-- where art thou?"

>>>are you again roaming upon the mountains of sin

JER 50:6-7

6 My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.

7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.

>>Adam where art thou under the teaching of false prophets

MAR 13:22-23 - 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

2CO 6:14-18 - 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

>>The false church is the counterfeit bride of Christ

>>Come not nigh her door

PRO 5:3-8 - 3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

7 Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

>>Adam where art thou-- under the teachings of traditions of men?---do not confer with flesh----or blood

GAL 1:14-16 - And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

>>Elect according to the for-ordained love of the Father

1PE 1:2 - Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
